Sgt. Michael N. Powell served with honor and distinction with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for over 32 years, retiring in April 2006 with the rank of Sergeant. Since his retirement, Sgt. Powell continues to conduct drug awareness training throughout the state of Ohio and across the country. For the last 26 years of Sgt. Powell’s law enforcement career, he was assigned to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), working narcotics, vice,and stolen property investigations.
During his tenure, he participated in over 5000 counts of drug trafficking and executed over 1500 federal/local search warrants.
